Dr. Bajwa is the CEO and founding member of NRSP which is Pakistan’s largest rural development organisation. At NRSP, Dr. Bajwa oversees the largest rural development operations of Pakistan. NRSP’s mandate is to alleviate poverty by harnessing people’s potential and undertaking development activities in Pakistan.

Dr. Bajwa has successfully set up the NRSP Micro Finance Bank which is the third-largest MF Bank in the country with 145 branches. It is the only MF Bank to have been given an “Islamic Micro Banking License”.

Dr. Bajwa is also holding various honorary positions such as Chairman of the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), Chairman Policy Committee of Pakistan Micro Finance Network (PMN), Member State Bank of Pakistan’s committee of Rural Finance and, Member of the General Body of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.

He is a graduate of King Edward Medical College and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (distinction) from the Nuffield Institute of Health, Leeds UK.
